I have never heard this city so quiet. In the mornings in the evenings. There are no cars to drone in the distance. There are no planes flying overhead. There are no construction trucks operating. There is no music blaring. This is the second day of the governor’s “stay at home” order. This is what it is like to live in a soft quarantine. I did not ponder for long. I needed to go the grocery store early, so that I could get supplies before the next rush of people.…more

This is 9/11 in slow motion I attempted to go to the hunting store today to purchase a pistol that I have been watching for a couple of years. I only like one of those things, but anyone tracking my phone today would think I am a heavy user of all three. Late last week I purchased a 1911. It was the old school government specs with no frills. I dropped off the registration at the precinct. Today I bought a leather holster, hopping to carry it appendix. The holster was far too tough even though it was of good quality (Galco) for that, however, so I went back out to get another.…more

Introduction
My name is Kimmy Powell and this is my blog. It is a place for the unanswered, ignored, downvoted, and forgotten to the void of the internet. I made this because my insights on HackerNews, Reddit, 4chan, youtube, StackOverflow, Twitter, Mastodon, and old phpHub forums would either be censored, removed, or met with silence. At least in this place together they can feel somewhat meaningful.
