I have never heard this city so quiet. In the mornings in the evenings. There are no cars to drone in the distance. There are no planes flying overhead. There are no construction trucks operating. There is no music blaring. This is the second day of the governor’s “stay at home” order. This is what it is like to live in a soft quarantine.
I did not ponder for long. I needed to go the grocery store early, so that I could get supplies before the next rush of people.
